A Safe Option When You Need More Than Anti-Inflammatory Drugs*
The safety of the BIO-1000 System has been proven in several studies. The only side effect reported in clinical studies has been a mild, generally transient skin rash caused by the electrode gel. This rash was controlled by changing gels, using a non-prescription topical medication, or by discontinuing use for a few days.

What to Expect From the BIO-1000 System**
Improvement in Pain and Arthritis Symptoms
In rigorously controlled clinical studies, patients who used the BIO-1000 System for the recommended 6 or more hours per day experienced significant improvement in pain relief and other osteoarthritis symptoms when compared with patients who were only taking their physician-prescribed medication (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and/or analgesics).1
Many patients noticed improvement within 2 to 3 weeks of treatment, and improvement continued through the fourth week
At 4 weeks, range of motion and morning stiffness were significantly better, resulting in improved mobility 2
After 4 weeks of treatment, patients who used the system as recommended along with their usual medication reported a 120% greater improvement in pain relief and associated osteoarthritis symptoms compared to patients who took their usual medication and used an inactive BIO-1000 System look-alike.
In the above studies, many patients experienced improvement within four weeks. However, studies also show that improvement continues over time and some patients who have very good long-term results see little improvement for three to five months.
